Future of peace and Unity in the Sudan from the Perspective of Male

This investigation aimed at surveying the opinion of Sudanese youth
on the future of peace and unity in the Sudan. The targeted group was
400 male and female university students of Southern and Northern
origins. Those were randomly selected from 10 universities in Khartoum
State; one hundred (100) form each category.
Some of the most important results reached, include:
* The main reasons for the conflict stemmed from the unbalanced
division of the wealth and authority that resulted in-the unbalanced
economic and social development of the south.
* The majority of southern and northern respondents believe that
the ethnicity culture of northerners and southemers cannot be overcome
within the six years interim period of the peace agreement.
* The ethnicity culture has negative impact on the future of peace
and unity of the Sudan.
* The conflict around the oil wealth has negative impact on the
future of peace and unity.
* The majority of respondents realized social peace between
southerners and northerners opted for unity, while the majority of male
respondents opted for separation.
* Not involving a wide sector of the Sudanese society in decision
making on national concerns has negative impact on the future of peace
and unity.
* Slowing or impeding implementation of articles of the peace
agreement threat the future of peace and unity.
* Different pressures imposed by international strategies impede the process of peace and unity of the Sudan.
* The singular totalitarian regime, in the absence of democracy,
rule of law and violations of human rights impedes the process of peace
and unity of the Sudan.
