VISION 2016 Call for Presenters: Submit Your Proposal by Feb. 29

ACTE is now accepting presentation proposals for VISION 2016 via
its online submission form at www.careertechvision.com. Sessions are
typically 60 minutes in length, and should allow 10-15 minutes for
questions. VISION 2016, taking place Nov. 30-Dec. 3 (Wednesday-Saturday)
in Las Vegas, is the most comprehensive professional development event
for CTE professionals, and it offers hundreds of breakout sessions in a
variety of formats--lecture, hands-on labs and roundtable discussions.
We invite you to help us identify key issues and topics in the rapidly
diversifying field of CTE. The submissions deadline is Monday, Feb. 29.

Provide Your Input on ACTE's High-quality CTE Framework Draft
ACTE released a first draft of its high-quality CTE framework to
focus groups this winter at VISION 2015. These draft standards are our
first attempt at a comprehensive, evidence-based list of CTE elements
that are crucial for quality programs of study. We welcome feedback from
members on these principles and our research and evaluation process. Go

State Policies Impacting CTE: 2015 Year in Review
In late January, ACTE will be releasing State Policies Impacting
CTE: 2015 Year in Review, co-authored with the National Association of
State Directors of Career Technical Education Consortium. In this third
annual review of state action related to CTE, you can learn about key
trends in CTE-related policies across the country in 2015, and drill
down with a state-by-state review of key legislation and other actions.

construction industry members and CTE educators. The map allows
