摘要：The labor market is at the apex of competitiveness. In the era of information society, the human factor is valued in the production process, by transforming information into knowledge and capital. In the area of library is different. This article aims to provoke a reflection on the recognition of the role of the librarian in society cariri of Ceará, before the manipulation of information and communication technologies (TICs), requirements of information society and of knowledge. Finally we intend to highlight the role of information professionals and their potential in the labor market.
