摘要：The authors analyze the modernization that the defense sector has undergone during President Bachelet’s government regarding political structure, military personnel, strategic projection, transparency, accountability, efficiency of military budget and international dimension of defense and reforms for the military justice system. The authors argue that the modernization process has been successful, among other reasons, because it has been underpinned in a wide political and civil-military consensus.
