摘要:Taking into consideration the historiographical debate that has been going on for the past thirty years surrounding the study of Late Antique architecture and liturgy, it has been possible to reach certain conclusions regarding the successes and the setbacks of the different methodologies that were applied. This article’s aim is to assess these conclusions using as its analytical parameter the degree through which the contact between the East and the Iberian Peninsula during the 5th and 6th centuries could have influenced the shaping of Late Antique architecture and liturgy.
