摘要：The shortcomings of representative democracy, expressed in terms of distance and disaffection with traditional political actors, have triggered the demand for new structures that are accessible to citizens and promote transparency and accountability in the exercise of power. Civic technologies, tools that are mainly driven by civil society organizations, aim to involve citizens in public decision-making processes. In the following article we reflect on the potential and limits of these technologies in a context of a dynamic public sphere with the aim of deepening the relationship between new media, social networks and civic technologies.
