摘要:An analysis of Goya's grotesque drawings from his different albums is proposed which aims at differentiating them from both the strictly satirical and the tragic or pathetic ones. This in turn throws light on the specific features of these drawings within the context of the numerous prints and drawings which react to the French Revolution, be they French, British, conservative or revolutionary, and underscores the grotesque originality of Goya's drawings, in particular during his Bordeaux period.
