摘要：By means of this descriptive traverse study, it was sought to understand the existing relationship between the intensity of the perceived pain, the mood and the quality of life in hospitalized patients. The sample used in this study, consisted of 271 patients (133 men and 138 women; mean age 56.79) of a third level hospital in Granada, Spain. The Nottingham Health Profile (NHP), Goldberg’s Anxiety and Depression Scale (GADS) and the Simple Verbal Scale were administered. As the intensity of the pain increases, the results reflected a worsening in each one of the areas of the quality of life when evaluated with the NHP; as well as in the anxiety and depression levels when measured using GADS. Finally, some recommendations are discussed based on the results obtained.
