摘要：Objective: To analyze the perception of older adults on their quality of life, relating it to your general and oral health, from the speech of its primary actors. Materials and methods: qualitative ethnographic study, 13 focus groups ( fg ) were performed in adults ≥ 65 years attending the ese Metrosalud (Medellin). gf verbatim transcript and content analysis was performed according to categories, identifying points of agreement, dissent and trends in the data. Results: were found and analyzed five categories: self-perceived health and factors affecting health status; quality of life, quality of life, health and quality of life related to oral health; family and social support; healthy aging; and access to health services. Conclusion: The perception of quality of life is crucial for assessing the determinants of general and oral health in the older population aspect.
