Jimmy was an indigenous Australian man, an artist, from the Sandy Desert in Western Australia. Pat was his wife. In 1996 they travelled to China, on the invitation of their Chinese Australian friend, Zhou, to present an exhibition of Jimmy's artwork. The journey, which is told here, features vivid description through the words of the text, the photographs and Jimmy's paintings, which he did along the way.
