摘要:A wireless adhoc sensor network consists of anumber of sensors spread across a geographical area. Aprimary challenge in the design of Wireless adhoc sensornetworks is to enhance the network lifetime and usage of lowenergy. Due to the resource constrained nature of sensornodes, innovative techniques are required to extend thenetwork lifetime in WSN`s. Nodes energy is considered as animportant resource for sensor node which are batterypowered based. The resource depletion attacks such asvampire attacks at the routing protocol layer, permanentlydisable the WSN`s by evacuating the battery power. Thispaper proposes an energy efficient routing protocol whichfinds the forwarding path between sensor nodes and sink toavoid energy consumption attacks (vampire attacks) by usingheuristic function. An energy aware routing protocol isproposed that uses heuristic function and A* searchalgorithm to find an optimal route in case of batterydepletion attacks. In addition to this, the low energy nodesare avoided for repetitive data transmissions that extends thenetwork lifetime. Maximum energy efficiency, optimal routeand the avoidance of data transmission by low energy nodesis achieved in the proposed system.
