摘要：The biggest concerns about incidents of information violation, namely Data Breaches, result from the exposure of confidential or sensitive data, which can cause significant moral and financial damages. Since data breaches occur in many different ways, countermeasures must be custom tailored to each specific situation. In order to do so, it is necessary to know, in detail, the factors responsible for the unauthorized access, which constitutes the focus of this research. The results of the present study are expected to contribute to the expansion of knowledge about the issue by proposing a statistical met hodology that will guide the conduction of future procedures for preventing attacks. A statistical grouping -based procedure has been built up from a real database in which the relationships among the various attributes of events are displayed visually and algebraically, providing the analyst with better conditions to understand the context in which the damages occurred
