摘要:Recently, service of quality (QoS) of cloud platform has attracted more and more attentions as plenty of commercial clouds are deployed in real world. However, providing desirable QoS for end-users still remains a challenging problem because of the unpredictable workload in cloud platforms. In this paper, we present a novel QoS framework called QVRP, which enables us to enhance user's QoS satisfactory through a flexible virtual machine reservation mechanism. The implementation of QVRP is implemented as an integrated middleware that makes it easy to be incorporated in many cloud platforms. Extensive experiments are conducted to examine the effectiveness and performance of QVRP, and the results indicate that it can significantly improve many important QoS metrics, which in turn improves the cloud user's QoS satisfactory.
