  • 摘要:Like many countries around the world, Morocco provided multiple efforts to protect the environment. The adoption of the National Charter for Environment and Sustainable Development and the organization of COP22 are real evidence. This country faces a lack of water and fossil energy, in addition to climate change with the inauguration of several ecological projects. Among these projects, we include rehabilitation and the creation of landfill sites in different regions of Morocco. In these landfills, two major types of pollution are to be treated: Solid waste, but also liquid rejections named leachate, which are loaded with organic and inorganic material and require treatment prior to discharge into the receiving environment. In this work, we studied the treatment of leachate from the landfill of Kenitra city (Morocco), by coagulation using an industrial rejection rich in ferric chloride as a coagulant compared to his combination with Aluminum Polychloride (PAC), as well as PAC alone. The use of the novel coagulant alone leads to reduction of 77% in terms of color, 78% of COD and 97% of detergents. The study of the mixture of coagulant rich in ferric chloride with the PAC has eliminated 89%, 87% and 91% for color, COD and detergents respectively. While the use of the PAC alone allowed to reach 98%, 96% and 95% respectively for color, COD and detergents.
