  • 摘要:The stabilization of the earth gives good results as it concerns the strength. The chemical elements are critical and allow, in the presence of cement, to strengthen the links between clays and grains. The knowledge of the nature of the earth by identifying its components is essential. This study searches for better performances in the use of natural materials. Our research shows the experimental results of mineralogical and chemical analyses in the territory of Fez. The results of uniaxial compression tests associated with different cement percentages (0%, 4%, 7% and 10%) are presented in order to investigate the effect of the mineralogical and chemical elements on the mechanical properties. The earth of Fez, mainly composed of calcite, quartz and dolomite improved the behaviour of the material by the addition of cement. The strong presence of calcite clay stabilized by the cementation of quartz and the cement matrix has strengthened ties between the grains.
