摘要:The main objective in this study is to explore equestrian activity as a catalyst for slow tourism development. It is focused on the study of Granxa do Souto (Galicia, España). In line with the exploratory nature of this study, a qualitative methodology was adopted in the first phase (two indepth interviews were conducted with the managers at Granxa do Souto). The second phase is based in a quantitative study, where the main aspects studied are motivations, preferences for activities at the destination, gastronomic and equestrian activities. The results reveal a high level of affinity between the equestrian tourist and the slow philosophy, and allow the definition of the main action points in order to adapt Granxa do Souto to the slow philosophy.
