摘要：Performance measurement in the public healthcare system has becomea more and more popular research problem throughout Europe and the world.In particular, these studies represent the link between the achievement of itsmajor objectives and the available resources. The professional literature concerningperformance measurement in the public healthcare system contains variousopinions. There are many opinions that are critical of the idea of implementinga performance-measurement system in the public sector – this idea has been assessedas not credible or, at best, difficult to implement. On the other side, thereis the idea of Jones et al. (2000) that performance measurements in the publichealthcare sector could be defined and measured through a system of indicatorswhere efficiency measures are especially important.
