摘要：Resumen: Miguel Gerónimo de Santa Cruz publicó a finales del siglo XVI una conocida aritmética, cuyo objetivo principal era facilitar las relaciones entre los comerciantes de la época. En este trabajo se presenta un análisis de la fenomenología y los tipos de representaciones incluidos en la obra. Para ello se ha recurrido a la técnica del análisis de contenido, ya utilizada en otras investigaciones presentadas por los grupos Pensamiento Numérico y Algebraico e Historia de las Matemáticas y Educación Matemática. Dicho análisis muestra tanto la diversidad de fenómenos o situaciones en los que se sitúan los ejemplos de la obra; como de representaciones, incluyendo en ella textos, símbolos, tablas, figuras geométricas, etc. Palabras clave: Historia de las Matemáticas y Educación Matemática; libros de texto de matemáticas antiguos; siglo XVI; aritmética; fenomenología, representaciones. Abstract: Miguel Gerónimo de Santa Cruz published in the end of the XVI century a well-known arithmetic, whose main aim was helping the relations among business man. This work presents an analysis of the phenomenology and the kind of representations included in his book. For this, it has been used the technique of analysis of content, which has already been used in previous researches presented by the group of Numerical and Algebraic Thinking and History of the Mathematics and Mathematics Education. This analysis shows both the diversity of phenomena or situations in which the examples from the book are placed, and of representations included in it, like texts, symbols, tables, geometric figures, etc. Keywords: History of Mathematic and Mathematic Education, old mathematics textbooks, XVI century, arithmetic, phenomenology, representations.
