摘要:Abstract: Nowadays the high number of images children are exposed to on a daily basis plays an important role in shaping the development of childhood. But are we aware of the impact these images have on small children?, what concepts they internalise or understand when they sit in front of the TV?, can this type of learning have an influence on their formation as people?... To try to respond to these questions here we introduce a essay-proposal that sets the use of a method applied in cultural semiotics as a means to understand what kids assimilate when they receive audiovisual products of this kind. This method could have a practical application which is especially useful in a school environment, as by simply discovering how children understand what they see can help us to make them critical viewers.
