摘要:This paper focuses on the relationship between literature and foreign languages learning. Its aim is to make a new proposal for literature teaching because it is considered that the different approaches to literature used now do not satisfy the contemporary needs for this area of knowledge: a cultural vision of foreign languages and an emphasis on text. Both aims take into account the specific characteristics of literature. The French perspective of Discourse Analysis is the theoretical framework adopted in this study. Concerning the foreign languages learning, the starting-point of discursive approach is the thought that mother tongue is constituent of this process. Such assumption includes a work with translation justified by the relational perspective of this approach. The work with a passage of a novel in Spanish is taken as example of a discursive approach to literature.
