摘要：We aim at presenting an analysis of the journalistic genre ping-pong interview in weekly magazines. The regularities which were apprehended from the study of the social dimension of the genre will be presented in terms of a) temporal and spatial horizons; b) the participants of the discursive interaction; c) the genre’s discursive project. From the present research we can define the genre ping-pong interview as a reported speech of face-to-face interview, thus, a framework of the interviewee’s speech through a re-utterance of face-to-face interview. The theoretical-methodological basis concerns the theory of speech genres and of dialogic analysis of discourse from Bakhtin‘s Circle (ADD). The research data is consists of 52 ping-pong interviews published on the weekly magazines CartaCapital, ISTOÉ and Veja, from the 4th of October to the 8th of November, 2006; a period of time that corresponds to the coverage of the second round of the presidential elections in Brazil.
