摘要:Abstract Social responsibility is a phenomenon shaping human behaviour. Individuals acting with awareness for social responsibility pay attention to the effects of their behaviours on society and environment. In that sense, responsible for preparing the students for life, the teachers being improved in terms of social responsibility awareness will enable them to act in a socially responsible manner. Thus, it is important to create and improve social responsibility awareness for teachers during the pre-service education. The study aims to determine the views of academic staff about community service applications course at the point of that the teacher candidates gain permanent social responsibility consciousness and improve it. Purposeful sampling method is used for this qualitative research. Participants are composed of lecturers teaching Community Service Practices course. Data of the study gathered using a structured interview form. At the end of this research, the necessity this application that education faculties must place social responsibility in their mission and vision and organize activities for giving social responsibility to students has been determined.
