摘要：ABSTRACT: In this study, The Attitudes towards Dating Violence Scales was adapted into Turkish and their validity and reliability were determined. The sample of the study was determined through random sampling method from students of a Middle Black Sea Region University in 2012-2013 academic years. "The Attitudes towards Dating Violence Scales" were developed by Price, Byers and Dating Violence Research Team (1999) on the purpose of determining the male and female participants' attitudes towards physical, psychological and sexual violence in dating. The scales are in the form of five points likert scale and "1" corresponds to "strongly disagree" while "5" corresponds to "strongly agree". The scales consist of "the Attitudes towards Male Psychological Dating Violence Scale", "the Attitudes towards Male Physical Dating Violence Scale", "the Attitudes towards Female Psychological Dating Violence Scale" and "the Attitudes towards Female Physical Dating Violence Scale". The high points obtained from the scales means that the acceptance of dating violence level is high (Price, E.L; Byers, E.S; Dating Violence Research Team, 1999). The exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were performed in order to determine the validity and reliability of the scale. The findings are as follows: the value of cronbach's alpha for the Attitudes Towards Male Psychological Dating Violence Scale is .81; the value of cronbach's alpha for the Attitudes Towards Male Physical Dating Violence Scale is .87; the value of cronbach's alpha for the Attitudes Towards Female Psychological Dating Violence Scale is .75 and the value of cronbach's alpha for the Attitudes Towards Female Physical Dating Violence Scale is .82. The results of the analysis Show that the Attitudes towards Dating Violence Scales are valid and reliable. Keywords: Violence, Dating Violence
