摘要:Communication skills are a major issue for each individual. Communication skills should get involved and developed in the education process for university students. The aim of this study was to investigate communication skills of students at vocational health highschool. The communication skills of students were investigated with different variables like gender, age, programs, grade level, living location of family, parents' education, socio-economic level of family, parents' attitudes, and relationships with friends. The study includes 116 students at Harran University Vocational School of Health Services. The participants were asked to complete "Personal Information Form" and "Communication Skills Inventory". The data analysis methods used in the study were percentage distribution, t test, one-way variance analysis, Kruskal Wallis and Mann Whitney U and Person's correlation analysis. As a result of the study it was found that female students had higher communication skills than male students. It's not a difference according to the class and program. Behavioral communication skills of the 18-20 age groups were more positive than the communication skills of other students. Furthermore it was found out that the education level of the parents creates a difference in the result of students' communication skills.
