摘要:The aim of this research is to determine the psychology consulting self-efficacy beliefs of 1st and 4th grade students who study at psychological counseling and guidance program. The study group consists of 293 students who study at the Faculties of Education in Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Anatolia and Gazi University in the 2012-2013 academic years. Psychological Counseling Self-Efficacy Scale (Lent and et. All, 2003) and School Counseling Efficacy Scale (Yiyit, 2001) was used to determine the students' psychology consulting self-efficacy beliefs. T-test was applied to specify whether students’ psychology consulting self-efficacy beliefs show a significant difference according to their class level. It has been also examined whether the psychology consulting self-efficacy beliefs of the students who study at the 1st and 4th grade students at psychological counseling and guidance program change according to their gender. Male students’ efficacy beliefs related to psychological counseling with clients is higher than female students in the 1st class. There was no significant difference in 4th grade students’ psychology consulting self-efficacy beliefs in terms of gender. Moreover, it has been concluded that the aid skills, managing session and working with though clients self-efficacy beliefs of 4th grade students were higher than the 1st graders.
