摘要:Abstract Referring to the fact that the tourism sector offers a lot of job opportunities tourism undergraduate programs have an important place in the tourism education system in Turkey.Due to the importance of foreign language (FL) skills in the tourism sector, it is necessary to revise foreign language teaching models of these programs. The purpose of the study is to determine the perceptions, expectations and suggestions of students and faculty members regarding the foreign language teaching models applied in undergraduate (4 years) tourism programs. A questionnaire form based on a comprehensive review of the relevant literature was developed, opinions of academic colleagues of the authors and experiences of the authors form the basis for this questionnaire, the research was conducted by personal interviews with the students . Results show that surveyed students have considered "concentrated FL teaching model" as the most effective and desired FL teaching model in bachelor's degree programs in tourism. Students' perceptions about the effectiveness of their programs have been differentiated depending on differences on applied FL teaching model in the programs.
