摘要:ABSTRACT The recently introduced Student centered curriculum demands some fundamental changes especially in assessment and evaluation processes. One of them is using alternative evaluation. According to student centered learning theory, in alternative evaluation, teachers do not only valuate student marks, but can use the data, gathered from their learning environment, to rearrange the learning environment. In this study, a test development process is conducted by using data, gathered from student centered learning activities with primary teacher candidates, including misconceptions about coordinate axis and functions. The validity of this test, especially the dimension of determining misconceptions, is discussed. According to the results, the test is useful and economic for determining the sample whose misconception is going to be inspected. Key words: Misconception, test development, alternative evaluation, coordinate axis, functions.
