摘要:Abstract In this research, it is investigated that to what level temporary assistant instructors in the pre-school education system have the teaching proficiencies they should have and whether their proficiencies have changed on the basis of their age, graduation level, and work experience. The universe comprises temporary assistant instructors working in Tokat city center. The sample is based on 125 temporary assistant instructors working in the private and state pre-schools in Tokat. "Proficiency Survey Sheet" which is developed by Gökçe (1999) is used to gather the research information. SPSS 15,0 package program and Krusskall Wallis test is used in the data analysis procedure. The basic proficiencies the pre-school assistant instructors should have consist of 68 items under the 7 teaching proficiency subtitles. In general, it is found out that assistant instructors have "fairly good" level of teacher proficiency. It is also found out that "Professional-Personal Proficiency" level of assistant instructors is "the highest" and their proficiency of "Syllabus Design and Evaluating" level is the "lowest". It is found out that there is no significant differences among proficiencies on the basis of their age, graduation, work experience variables (p>0,005). On the contrary, it is found out that there is a significant difference among their proficiencies in respect of their "work experience" (p < 0,05).
