  • 摘要:Abstract The aim of this study is to determine the needs of class teachers working at elementary schools. The study was conducted at 15 elementary schools that are subordinate to the Ministry of National Education in the city center of Ankara, during the fall term of 2008-2009 School Year. The application was performed with a total of 90 teachers. In the study, "the survey for the determination of the in-service educational needs of class teachers working at elementary schools", which was developed by the researchers, was used as the data collection tool. The most important finding of the study is that class teachers find it necessary to receive in-service training, in order to harmonize with scientific, technological and social changes, attain the knowledge, skills and behaviors that are required by the innovations and developments in the field of education and to develop themselves. As a consequence, it was determined that the needs of in-service education are prior on the subjects of respectively; attention deficit, learning disability, hyperactivity and educational technology (educational usage of computer etc.).
