摘要:Abstract The aim of this study is to investigate perceptions of high school students who come from rural areas and stay in a secondary school pension about teacher-student relationship on authoritarian, democratic, and idle dimensions. Research was carried out on a sample of 436 students. At the end of the research, it is found that students' perceptions of authoritarian, democratic and idle dimensions of the relationship are generally at mean level. It is also found that there is not a significant difference according to sex/gender perceptions on democratic dimension of the relationship but perceptions of male students on authoritarian and idle dimensions of the relationship are higher than female students. On the other hand according to the class variable and on authoritarian dimension of the relationship perception of 9th grade students are lower than 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students, on democratic dimension of the relationship, the perceptions of 11th grade students are lower than 9th and 10th grade students; on idle dimension of the relationship the perceptions of 9th grade students are lower than 10th, 11th and 12th grade students; also 10th grade students' perceptions are found lower than 11th grade students. According to the type of enrolled school it is also found that on the authoritarian dimension of the relationship, the perceptions of Science High School students are higher than Technical and Vocational High School, on the democratic dimension of the relationship, the perceptions of Anatolian and General High School students are higher than Science High School, the perceptions of Technical and Vocational high school students are higher than Science, General and Anatolian High School students. Finally, on idle dimension of the relationship, the perceptions of Technical and Vocational High School students' are found lower than Science and General high school students.
