摘要:ABSTRACT The present paper, which was carried out in qualitative method, aims at determining perception of teaching career by newly enrolled freshmen of education faculty and their attitudes towards the career. Their perception and attitudes will profile the teachers of the future to certain extend. 16 participants, 7 female and 9 male, were chosen via purposive sampling. A semi-structured interview form, made up of open-ended questions, was used as data collection instrument. Freshmen's perceptions of teaching career, factors directing them to choosing the career, their expectations were reported and the problems in the process were discussed.
