  • 摘要:ABSTRACT Nowadays, This study investigates the opinions of the social studies teachers employed in private education institutions regarding the changes of 6th and 7th grade social studies curriculum, its applicability and application process. Investigating the statistical differences between the demographic features of the teachers and the teachers opinions on the program and its applications constitute another objective of the study. The research results suggested that the social studies teachers had quite positive opinions about the program change, content, competence, applicability, and application process. However, the needs for a long-standing program, realizing the necessary changes in the application process, preparing the necessary background before an education reform were addressed by the teachers. Moreover, opinions of the social studies teachers revealed that the time allocated for social studies courses, attainments, and application of assessment and evaluation methods are among the most critical issues that should be mitigated.
