摘要：It is known that there is understanding of religion which adopts respect and tolerance against different beliefs in the ancient Turkish religion and traditions. Maturidî who was away from daily politics, established his method based intelligence and revelation, and shaped his religious understanding. Undoubted, while he was doing, he was influenced from the environment in which he lived, and ancient Turkish culture and tradition. In this context, his understanding of respect and tolerance against other beliefs which remained from tradition, appears in his attitude against other beliefs and sects. After his, this attitude continued in Hanafî/Maturidî formation and religion understanding which sociologists named "Turkish Muslimism" In this paper, Maturidi's attitude against beliefs and sects will be discussed with examples, taking into account Maturidi's books and modern studies.
