  • 摘要:Due to various factors, the occupational burnout as a result of over-alienation from work has negative effects both on individual's social relations and his business efficacy. In this study, occupational burnout level of academicians teaching geography at university as well as geography teachers at high schools and private courses were analyzed in terms of various variables. The sampling of this study is composed of 120 geography educators in these institutions. Maslach Burnout Inventory is applied as a data collection device. This inventory with a personal information form has been sent to individuals forming the sampling via Internet and retrieved in the same way. In data analysis, one-way analysis of variance (anova), Mann Whitney u, kruskal Wallis and t-tests have been utilized. As a result of the study, we have found out that it does not affect the self-success and desensitization of genders of the geography educators but does affects their emotional burnout level. We have also found out that occupational seniority affects their desensitization level but does not affect their emotional burnout level or self-success. On the other hand, we found out that there is no significant relationship between individual's marital status, types of school he graduated, title, age group, institution they work and emotional burnout, desensitization, self-success.
