摘要:The article summarizes and describes current publications on Latvian child language research. The origins of this research are found in the Latvian child language studies of an expatriate linguist Velta Rūķe-Draviņa. Purposeful studies of Latvian child language began after the establishment of the Riga Teacher Training and Educational Management Academy Child Language Research Centre (officially registered in 2007). The studies of researchers working at the centre show an integrated and – in the past years – also an ontolinguistic approach. Several monographs and article compilations have been published, a digital child language dictionary and a database with child language examples has been developed. Multiple articles have been published and reports presented, a study course Child Language was provided to future teachers and an international journal Ad Verba Līberorum was published. Research results and the child language database serve as a good foundation to further studies. Keywords: Latvian child language; purposeful studies; ontolinguistics
