摘要：The general debate on MNC and their responsibility is fraught with misperceptions. The purpose of this paper is to place the issue of accountability into a proper perspective. This would entail a clarification of the following three issues: type of sector of MNCs whose activities have generated accountability-related issues; the nature of the interests that they represent; and the types of violations which are involved. In addition, the paper will provide a set of policy recommendations on ways of enhancing accountability.
