摘要：El objetivo de este artículo es analizar, desde un enfoque crítico y de género, la tensión discursiva entre lo popular y lo femenino, presente en el repertorio vallenato de Diomedes Díaz. Para ello, en primer lugar, se examina las teorías sobre música popular desde una perspectiva de género. En segundo lugar, se presenta el método de Análisis Crítico del Discurso (ACD). En tercer lugar, se hace una revisión del contexto social de Colombia, poniendo énfasis en la situación de las mujeres. En cuarto lugar, se realiza un análisis crítico del repertorio musical de Diomedes. Por último, se presentan las conclusiones y las perspectivas de futuro. The purpose of the present article is to analyze the discursive tension between the popular and the femininity, both present in the repertoire of Diomedes Diaz’s vallenato, applying a critical and gender approach. In the first place, the article examines current theories of popular music from a gender perspective. Secondly, the method of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) is presented. The third part provides a brief review of the social context of Colombia, emphasizing the situation of women. Fourthly, a critical analysis of the musical repertoire of Diomedes is conducted. Finally, conclusions and future prospects are presented.
