One of purposes of the reseach is exploring traditional market to do threaths, challenges to use potency and opportunity for supporting tourism development at Surakarta. Method of reseach is SWOT analysis. There are some strategies for developin traditional market to support Surakarta Tourism are as follows : 1) Facilitation of fund and policy, 2) Preservation of markets as artefact and tourist, 3) Integration with other tourism program, 4) optimalization of management as tourist detination.
