Tainesia Jaya is a factory which produces glucose. The kinds are Maltose, Crude Dextrose Syrup, High Maltose Syrup, Fructose, Malto Dextrine and Bee Feed. The order has been received will be devided o be some batchs. Currently, PT. Tainesia Jaya has faced tardiness of finishing batch. This tardiness happened was very late. This problem decrease competitiveness of PT. Tainesia Jaya. To minimize of tardiness, it is needed to improve scheduling production procedure. Therefore, this research will be schedule of glucose production to minimize tardiness. Scheduling algorithm developed is consist of 2 sub algorithm, i.e the sequencing order and the batch scheduling. The order sequencing stage uses dispatching rules EDD (Earlies Due Date) and SPT (Short Processing Time) rul Then, batch scheduling algorithm arranged based on order sequencing algorithm. Th e are five batch scheduling algorithm, i.e. Maltose, Crude Dextrose Syrup, High Maltose Syrup, Fructose, and Malto Dextrine sequencing. The result of this research shows implemention of dispatching rules scheduling algorithm can reduce mean tardiness. Mean tardiness is reduced from 80,875 hour to 37,58 ho r. This means the mean tardiness saving is as 43,29 hour. The queue time in f ration work stasion is reduced from 10,516 hour to 3,305 hour. This means the queue time saving is as 7,211 hour. The queue time in IER (Ion Exchanger) unit is reduced from 2,837 hour to 2,25 hour. This means the queue time saving is as 0,587 hour. The idle time in filtration work stasion is reduced from 5,06 hour to 2,259 hour. This means the idle time saving is as 2,801. The idle time in IER (Ion Exchanger) unit is re uced from 4,773 hour to 2,36 hour. This means the idle time saving is as 2,413 hour. The number of tardy is reduced from 28 batch to 6 batch.
