摘要:This article presents the current stage of an interinstitutional research that has the focus on the teacher, carried out in the Master Degree on Education at UNIUBE, from 2003 to 2005. The purposes are: mapping, analyzing and discussing the state of the art in relation to the choice of the theme in the essays elaborated. For that, in a quali-quantitative approach it has been analyzed 20% of the productions that investigated the “formation of the teachers, the professionalization and the teacher’s practice”. The data were collected through instruments developed specifi cally for this research under the format of “analysis card” and of “deepening card” organized in a data base. The results made possible to answer questions such as: themes and subthemes more recurrent and those not yet enough explored. What are the main theoretical referentials when choosing a theme for the studies? It was identified that it prevails the choice for the research about the formation of the teachers. In this context, the researchers talk to contemporary authors, especially those ones of critical line of thinking. On the other hand, the issues about professionalization of the educator are the least studied, which, at first sight, can be a paradox. In a dialogue with Bourdieu, it is considered that the meaning of the thematic choices does not belong to the individual who carry them out, but to the whole system of relationships, in and throughout the field they happen.
