摘要：This paper focuses on the ethnoecology of two riverine populations in an environment under the impact of dams. A hundred five dwellers of twenty three communities which are located on the banks of Paraná River, in Paraná, and Cuiabá River, in Mato Grosso, were interviewed. This study aims at understanding the bonds between these communities and the ecosystem, what these social groups are like and how they view the changes that occur in the region.
