摘要：This article treats with the mediation as it an alternative form of conflict resolutions especially family. Aimed demonstrate that mediation has its concepts as being the best alternative to resolve conflicts toward an understanding between the parties. After an analysis of the history of the family speak of marital separation, then present the main concepts and elements for the implementation of mediation especially the issue of Resolution 125 of the National Council of Justice emeda by amended nº1 de 2013. Highlight the effectiveness of mediation as the best way to resolve family conflicts considering that resolve the conflict depends on the parties and the mediator is only a facilitator of communication.
