摘要：The present work, based in literary revision, approaches the existing relationship between Geography and Geotechnologies, as well as with the employment of the last in the realization of studies related to environmental planning. Among the objectives highlighted we may (i) accomplish a brief rescue of the environmental concern among geographic studies; (ii) present and trace some characteristics of some sensorial orbits, as well as some Geographical Information Systems already developed and (iii) indicate case studies that reveal the potentialities of these Geotechnologies in studies to be developed by professional in Geography. The bibliographical review realized in order to subsidize the elaboration of this article, indicates the importance of the employment of scientific principles of Geotechnology in the contribution of the development of the natural and social environment, as support to the ordearing, monitoring and environmental management, in different brazilian regions. The results obtained with the employment of these tools should be transformed in concrete actions that enable, besides survival, a harmonious relationship between man and land, looking foward sustainable development. It is worth mentioning that in the present work, the necessity of the geographic professional to dominate this technological tool to better comprehend the byotic and abyotic environment and its respective dynamics.
