摘要：The present paper aimed to study the urban open spaces for public use in Ilha Solteira , SP, Brazil. The urban open spaces were identified and classified into several categories. It was also determined the ratio between the urban open spaces for public use and the number of inhabitants of the city. Based on these parameters, some urban planning strategies for the management of the urban open spaces for public use were proposed.
