摘要：The University of Puerto Rico (UPR) is the oldest and largest university on the island of Puerto Rico. With 11 campuses distributed along the island the institution has a student population of over to 64, 000 undergraduate and more than 5,000 graduate students, with close to 20,000 FT & PT faculty. The institution offers a full spectrum of programs throughout its campuses from certificates, associate and bachelor degrees, to Masters and PhD. programs. The article gives a general description of the UPR’s libraries’ information literacy (IL) programs at 8 of its 11 campuses. A search of the resent library literature revealed that nothing has been written about the information literacy programs of the libraries of the University of Puerto Rico library system. This article gives a report on the state of these programs as of the spring of 2007
