摘要:This study aims to describe: (1) the fourth-grade teachers plan program of learning in social studies at SDN Caturtunggal I, (2) how teacher teaching social studies, and (3) how teacher assess learning outcomes in social studies. This research is a qualitative research with case study. The subject of this study is the fourth-grade teacher at SDN Caturtunggal I, while the informant are a fourth-grade students and principals. Object of this research is the process of learning social studies in grade IV. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and study documentation. Validity of the data obtained in two ways, namely continuous observation and triangulation. The data in this study were analyzed by qualitative analysis. The results showed that: (1) the fourth-grade teachers planning for teaching social studies program is to prepare course materials for each meeting in accordance with the standards of competence and basic competencies that. Teacher’s planning made in writing shall be incorporated in the form of learning implementation plan (RPP). In addition to the material, RPP also contains learning objectives, teaching methods, and assessment of learning outcomes. (2) The process of learning social studies at SDN Caturtunggal I started with some of the following activities: (a) initiated learning activities with say hello, check on student attendance, conveying learning objectives, and to apperception; (b) the fourth-grade classroom teachers manage the learning process with deliver learning material to students using the lecture, question and answer, discussion, demonstrations, and assignments. The teacher divides the students into several groups, guiding students in discussing, and providing feedback on student work, and (c) teacher end the lesson by conclude the learning materials, provide evaluation and moral message to the students. (3) IPS learning outcome assessment was done by using the test, both written tests and oral tests. Teacher used multiple choice questions and short answers.
