摘要：The aim of this paper is to provide a focus on the significance of the territorial dimension in economic literature. A critical review of different models is presented in order to shed light on differences and similarity in a significant number of their building blocks. The interactive nature of process of knowledge creation and the way in which it may affect the innovation potential of a territory is discusses. Finally, it emphasises the active role of territory in the promotion of endogenous regional development.
