摘要：The magnificent arms and armours manufactured for Charles V and Philip II in the Royal Armoury of Madrid, reveal a splendid decoration whose iconography is a very adequate way to exalt the Royal majesty. The present work treats the study of subject marine iconography, taken as a model in the classical Sea myths: formal characteristics, iconographical prototypes and his variants, and the deep meaning they have as simbols of the maritime sovereignty and as the protection`s guaranty for the warrior.
