摘要：This paper aims at describing and analyzing the dynamics of technological production of Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN). For this purpose, we used data of deposits of patent or utility model made by the firm and its subsidiaries, in the period from 1971 to 2009. We analyzed the temporal evolution, focus and collaboration network in technological production of the firm. The choice by CSN is justified by being one of the main Brazilian industries, in a strategic area for economic development, and whose competitiveness has intensified in recent years. From the understanding of its technological profile by patents, it can be more effective to establish guidelines for the management of innovation and intellectual property. The analysis of the data collected in the base FAMPAT, using Questel Orbit, identified a greater emphasis on internal development and two distinct patterns. The first refers to the pre-privatization period, where there is a greater amount of deposits. And the second, post - privatization, from 1993, in which there is a sudden drop in this procedure.
