摘要：The goal of this paper is to show the present growing and flourishing of Acoustic Phonetics thanks to the perfectioning of electroacoustics and its tools (Sonograph, Synthetizer, etc.). It starts with some general observations about communication, the car and the sound, as well as the type of material that the modern use of electrotecnic methods makes available. The main part of the paper describes and characterizes some vocalic and consonantic phonemes of both Basque and Castilian Spanish acoustically by means of many data and illustrations.
